in 2015 claire evans, lead singer of the band yacht, was nice enough to officiate the wedding of me and my husband, nathan. as a thank you gift, i made muppets of her and her partner, jona bechtolt.
the muppets were made of reticulated Foam, , upholstery foam, antron fleece, various fabrics,  fakE Fur, sculpey, molded plastic, and one custom button.
Before I made the muppets for yacht, i made a practice muppet to work out all of the construction techniques. his name is rudy and he was soon packed up and shipped off to live with my sister, carmella. these days, he assists in her work as a children's therapist.
rudy was made of reticulated foam, upholstery foam, antron fleece, various fabrics, sculpey, molded plastic, and ostrich feathers,

in 2003 I made a costume of my favorite character from my favorite children's book, "where the wild things are" by maurice sendak.
the costume was made out of paper mâché, paper clay, fake fur, fabric, and acrylic paint.
in 1989 i made puppets of the members of the b-52's which would star in a homemade music video for the song "love shack." at the time, i was unaware that the band would eventually make an official video for the song and it would go on to become a monstrous hit.
i made the video specifically to play at berlin nightclub, and it was shown at other chicago nightclubs as well. It can now be seen on vimeo.
the puppets were made of paper mâché, fake fur, synthetic hair, and fabric.

when i set out to buy a john waters toy a few years ago, I was stunned to find out that there are surprisingly few toys based on mr. waters or any of his infamous characters. so i made my own.
this figurine was made of paper mâché, paper clay, sculpey, and acrylic paint.
